Brigid M. Noonan, PhD

Who am I
I am Dean of the School of Nursing & Health Professions and a licensed therapist (PhD, LCPC, LPC, LMHC, NCC, ACS, CC-TP, CC-TMHH) with over 30 years in counselor education.

Check my LinkedIn profile for more information about my work.

My mentoring style and philosophy
My approach is dialogical and intentionally challenging, grounded in DEI-critical reflection and leadership development. A pre-session meeting may be arranged to align learning objectives. I expect honest engagement and tolerance for constructive discomfort.

Best fit for mentees
Primary areas of focus include DEI-informed practice, LGBTQ+ and transgender-affirming care, supervision, leadership, and complex clinical/ethical decision-making. I am best suited for advanced practitioners, educators, and leaders ready for growth through robust professional challenge.

I expect mentees to engage honestly, tolerate discomfort, and reflect critically on values, power, and difference.
